Services
A successful website doesn’t just look great; it should be simple to maintain.
I build websites using the WordPress platform, an open-source Content Management System. It makes editing your website as easy as editing a Word document.

Theme Frameworks
When possible, I try to build client sites using a theme framework. This reduces the time and cost of developing the website.
A theme framework is a theme that is built specifically for customizing. Instead of re-inventing the wheel, a theme framework let’s you only build what’s unique (like the look and feel), while maintaining a solid, SEO-friendly base. The ones I typically use are Thesis, Genesis, and Canvas.
If an existing theme doesn’t fit with your project’s requirements, I can also build a custom theme from scratch. This is best for very complex designs or backend functionality (see my portfolio for examples).
From Design to Functional Website
As a developer, my preferred project workflow is to initially receive a completed design (PSD). I’ll build the WordPress website on my development server, and when we’re ready to launch I’ll migrate it to your server.
If you have a website that you want converted to WordPress, you can just provide me with a link to the website.
Need a designer? No Problem!
I’m not a jack of all trades. I focus on one thing and do it well – WordPress development. But I partner with great designers that can take your vision, goals, and existing brand to create a perfect design.
I will introduce you to a few designers, you can review their portfolios, pick your favorite, and hire them for the design aspect. Once the design is complete, they’ll deliver it to me and I’ll build it into a WordPress theme.
How Much?
WordPress development start at $500, with the typical project being
$1,000-$3,000 and taking 1-2 weeks. This does not include the cost of hiring a designer.
The price is dependent on the complexity of the design and the complexity of any custom features that need to be built. Contact me today for a price estimate.

WordPress Training
Need some help learning your way around WordPress? I have an agreement with WP101 to provide their extensive list of training videos to any of my clients that need it.
If you would like a training video developed specifically to your needs, I can create one for you.
WordPress Hosting
For the vast majority of websites, I recommend BlueHost. They are affordable and have 24/7 phone support.
If you have a high-traffic site or are very concerned about security and uptime, I highly recommend WP Engine. They are (in my opinion) the best third party hosting company for WordPress. I host my websites and develop my client’s sites on their servers.
Finally, if you are a top-tier website receiving millions of pageviews and using (or considering using) WordPress, you should apply for WordPress VIP Hosting. Automattic, the company behind WordPress, offers hosting to the most visible, influential WordPress-based websites. If you are hosted on WordPress VIP, I also provide a discount for my services.
