I was hired by OMA to convert The River Centre’s existing static site to use WordPress as a CMS. The client wanted full control of the site, while maintaining all the detailed design elements that complete the site (ex: each section of the site has its own color).
Key Features:
- Custom layout option – Archive layout – that will dynamically pull in the three children pages as that page’s content (example).
- Custom page header with logic. You can define the image and intro text to be displayed. If no image and/or text are provided but the page header is enabled, it will pull that information from the page parent. This saves the client from writing the same content many different places.
- Custom post type called Testimonials that let the client easily manage their testimonials. I then created a custom Testimonials widget that would display one chosen randomly.
